Root most of the phones with MTK chipset (XOLO, Micromax, Etc.)

Hello Everyone. Today, I'm going to show you how to root most of the budget androids found in the Indian, Chinese, and Indonesian markets. This rooting exploit was developed by me as the other methods did not work on my phone. It is confirmed to be working on the XOLO Q1000, Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0, Micromax Canvas HD, etc. Although, most of the phones with MTK chipset will work. You may try to root your phone, if in doubt. Nothing will go wrong if your phone is not supported.

Step I

Download this file and extract it

Step II

Enable USB debugging on your phone. This can be done by going to Setting > Developer Options > USB Debugging. However, If you have an Android 4.1+ (Jelly Bean or higher) phone, then go to Settings > About Phone > Build no. Now, keep tapping build no. till the message "Congratulations! You are now a developer!" Appears. Now, go back to settings, and developer options will have appeared.

Step III

Connect your phone to your computer

Step IV

Open the file 'run.bat' in the folder you just extracted. 

Step V

If all goes well, you should see a confirmation message. The phone will restart and when you it comes back on, it will be rooted.
